We’ve been searching near and far for the ultimate crusher, and we’ve continuously gotten close in one way or another, but we finally cracked the code! Super Computer
$4.00/16oz can
IPA - American | 6% ABV | DSSOLVR | Asheville, NC • Just like how John and Sarah Connor fought the computer overlords and were finally able to conquer the war thanks to a friendly supercomputer-powered robot, for years we fought the idea of flagships or “core beers”, but have recently met our match with “Supercomputer”, our newest Hazy IPA that’s officially now in our lineup of core offerings. Meaning we’ll be making a concerted effort to keep this beer around all the time. Over the last few years, we’ve found many base recipes that work well for our Hazy IPA category. We’ve scaled those up and down, increased and decreased dry hopping, tried new techniques, and experimented with countless hop products, and yet…we kept coming back to this the tried and true base that was our “Computers” series of DDH Hazy IPA. On further review, we realized we really liked the base beer, and wanted to produce something more approachable for an every-day super-juicy Hazy IPA that could still hold up to our standards. Something hoppy and juicy and balanced, but not as intensely saturated as most of our other Hazy IPA. We normally do a lot of Double-Dry-Hopping for maximum saturation, if you hadn’t noticed. So we stuck with the classic Citra-Mosaic combo for the hop blend, and then loaded it up with El Dorado as a third hop in this beautiful symphony of juice. The results are absolutely outstanding! A delightful blend of Blueberry, Blood Orange, Mango, Pineapple, Peach/Apricot, and a perfect kiss of dankness without any substantial bitterness.

Duvel
$4.75/11.2oz bottle
Belgian Strong Golden Ale | 8.5% ABV | 33 IBU | Duvel Moortgat | Puurs-Sint-Amands, Vlaams Gewest • Duvel is a natural beer with a subtle bitterness, a refined flavour and a distinctive hop character. The unique brewing process, which takes about 90 days, guarantees a pure character, delicate effervescence and a pleasant sweet taste of alcohol. Apart from pure spring water, which is the main ingredient of beer, barley is the most important raw material. Barley must germinate for five days in the malt house, after which malt remains. The colour of the malt and as a consequence also of the beer is determined by the temperature. Duvel obtains its typical bitterness by adding various varieties of aromatic Slovenian and Czech hops. We use only exclusive hops that are renowned for their constant, outstanding quality. Duvel ferments for the first time in tanks at 20 to 26°C. The brewer uses his own culture for this. The original yeast strain, which Victor Moortgat himself selected in the 1920’s, originates from Scotland. After maturing in storage tanks in which the beer is cooled down to -2°C, the drink is ready for bottling. Thanks to the addition of extra sugars and yeast, the beer ferments again in the bottle. This occurs in warm cellars (24°C) and takes two weeks. Then the beer is moved to cold cellars, where it continues to mature and stabilise for a further six weeks. This extra long maturation period is unique and contributes to the refined flavour and pure taste of Duvel.

We used the freshest crop available of each hop to give this DIPA the most expressive hop character possible.

Tropical Falcon
$4.50/16oz can
IPA - American | 7% ABV | Triple Crossing | Richmond, VA • The base beer, as we’re certain you know by now if you’re reading this far, has always been about the balance of dank to bright, fruit to pine, and hop expression to overall balance. Variants like these allow us to lean into any one of Falcon’s characteristics. After various trials and evaluation, we decided that the still new school Sabro interacted most favorably with the other two varietals in the original beer, and provided the best tropical hop laden character. To that end, we notice impressions of tiki bar style pina colada, candied pineapple juice, ripe mandarin orange, and mango peach stone fruit softness.
